Terms & Conditions of Use
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the Horemheb website (www.horemheb.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services or book any expedition through our platform.
These terms apply to all visitors, users, and clients who engage with our luxury travel and archaeological tour services. Additional terms may apply for specific VIP itineraries or exclusive access permits.
2. Booking & Payment Terms
To secure a confirmed booking for any tour, hotel stay, or private excursion, you must provide accurate and complete information. Payment terms are as follows:
- Deposit Requirement: A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking for all custom itineraries.
- Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days prior to arrival in Egypt.
- Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards, bank transfers, and secure online gateways. All fees are in USD unless stated otherwise.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
We understand that plans may change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair while protecting our local partners and guides:
- Cancellation 60+ days before arrival: Full refund minus the 30% non-refundable deposit.
- Cancellation 30-59 days before arrival: 50% refund of total trip cost.
- Cancellation within 30 days: No refund available.
- No-show or early departure: No refund will be provided.
In the unlikely event that Horemheb must cancel a tour due to safety or operational reasons, you will receive a full refund or credit toward a future expedition.
4. User Responsibilities & Conduct
As a guest of Horemheb, you agree to respect all local laws, customs, and heritage site regulations. You are personally responsible for:
- Having a valid passport and any required visas for entry into Egypt.
- Following the instructions of your licensed guide and tour leader at all times.
- Refraining from any activity that may damage archaeological sites, hotels, or vehicles.
Horemheb reserves the right to refuse service or remove any guest who endangers others or violates these terms, without refund.
5. Liability & Assumption of Risk
Travel to certain historical and desert locations involves inherent risks. By booking with Horemheb, you acknowledge and assume these risks voluntarily. Our liability is limited as follows:
- Horemheb acts as an intermediary between you and local service providers (hotels, transport, guides).
- We are not liable for delays, injuries, or damages caused by third parties, weather, political unrest, or force majeure events.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific tour or service.
7. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Egypt. Any dispute arising from your use of our website or services shall be resolved as follows:
- Informal Resolution: You agree to contact our customer support team first to resolve any issue amicably.
- Binding Arbitration: If unresolved, disputes will be settled by binding arbitration in Cairo, Egypt, rather than in court.
- Class Action Waiver: You agree to bring any claims against Horemheb only in your individual capacity, not as part of a class action.
8. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Changes become effective immediately upon posting on this page. Your continued use of the website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. It is your responsibility to review this page periodically for updates.
9. Age Requirement & Travelers
Our luxury tours are designed primarily for adults and families with children above 12 years old, unless a private family tour is arranged. The following rules apply:
- Users under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on all tours.
- By booking, the guardian confirms that they have authority to agree to these terms on behalf of any minor.
- Certain archaeological sites may have age restrictions for safety reasons; we will notify you prior to booking.
